About The Founder

Marcus Switzer

Founder & Partner

Marcus Switzer most recently served as Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations to the U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. In this role, Marcus managed the principal operations for the Secretary and directed strategic guidance on the Secretary’s 57,000-person Department’s priorities related to external stakeholder engagement, wealth creation strategies, as well as internal process and systems implementation to increase efficacy and efficiency of an agency with a $140 billion budget. Prior to U.S. DOT, Marcus served as Deputy Chief of Protocol of the United States at the U.S. Department of State. In this role, Marcus oversaw the Ceremonials, Diplomatic Affairs, Diplomatic Partnerships, and Major Events Divisions as they related to engagement with chiefs of state, heads of government, and other international dignitaries meeting with the President and Vice President of the United States, or the U.S. Secretary of State. 


Before joining the administration, Marcus ran the development operation for the Biden-Harris 2020 Transition team where he and his team raised $22.1m – more than any other previous presidential transition effort. Marcus brings experience in both the private and public sectors having worked in the private equity and hydropower industries in addition to his background working in national politics and federal government – including President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and in the Obama White House. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Marcus graduated with his B.A. in both Public Policy Studies and Psychology from Duke University.
